Upon discovering a mysterious device known as the Omnitrix, 10-year-old Ben Tennyson is bestowed with the power to change into 10 different alien heroes. Each alien hero has its own unique and awesome powers. Although Ben now has the added responsibility to protect others and fight evil forces, he still manages to find time for some mischief and fun! You can meet Ben Tennyson when he appears at the Royal Easter Show. Don't miss it!

Brand new to New Zealand and exclusive to the Royal Easter Show 2010, direct from the Nickelodeon, is the super-fun, urban inspired live show, “Yo Gabba Gabba! I Like To Dance”. Fans of this super-cool series will love singing and dancing to popular songs like Hugs are Fun, I like to Dance and Get the Sillies out. All the popular and friendly toy monsters are here. The Gabba-gang includes, Muno, Foofa, Plex, Todee and Brobee. Don’t miss this great live show. It’s a real funfest, especially for the young ones.

Joe Lumsden's Rough Riders Equestrian Stunt Team will be performing at the Royal Easter Show 2010. Joe's team have been performing stunts throughout New Zealand and completing film work since 1996.

2010’s show will include four horses and six stunt riders who will be performing incredible stunts. These include: Roman riding (rider standing on two horses at the same time, at the gallop), Various vaults, Cossack drags, Stunt fighting, Sword and spear, Stock whips, and Vaults over jumps.

All of the action takes place at a very fast pace, to music. Show durations are between
30 and 35 minutes.

The Rough Riders are not to be missed!

Never before has New Zealand seen a Bushmen bonanza like this!

We have highly skilled competitors coming together from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres to compete in the ultimate challenge, “The Battle of the Bushmen”.

This promises to be a very powerful event, full of excitement and skill to take logger sports to all
new extremes!

This competition tests the skills of all the main events in logger sports today. It includes disciplines such as chainsaw racing, single sawing, chopping events like the standing, underhand and spring board, and let’s not forget the hot saws!

Who will become ‘King of the Bush?!’ Come watch them and find out.

Chelsea Marriner and her star dogs are back for the Royal Easter Show 2010. You might remember Chelsea as a New Zealand’s Got Talent finalist.

Chelsea has been working with dogs since she was 2 1/2 years old and now has six working Border collies, all of whom she has taught an amazing range of unusual tricks. Chelsea and her dogs have performed at numerous A&P shows and race meets, the World Invitation Super Stock Champs and Mystery Creek Fieldays. Chelsea and her dog Quest have also won Wonder Dogs in 2005 and performed at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park in 2006. Her dogs compete successfully in Canine Agility, Flygility and Freestyle events.

Chelsea and her star dogs saw people packed ringside in 2009 and we’re planning for even greater crowds in 2010. This show is a real crowd pleaser and everyone walks away feeling happy and
warm inside.

For genuine kiwi-style entertainment you can’t go past the shear entertainment value of the Sheep-n-Show show. Sheep-n-Show performances are a great blend of education and entertainment. Greg Clarke’s unique style and sense of humour will have you in fits of laughter as he blends sheep shearing and comedy in his shows aimed at all age groups.

Greg sets a very high professional standard for his presentations, as recommended by the New Zealand Wool Board, as he performs from the heart doing his very best to provide maximum fun for his audiences. Sheep-n-Show is really memorable, so don’t miss it.

A hit in 1972 Las Vegas, Vinyl’s show business career has since dwindled but his enthusiasm hasn’t. Vinyl has relocated his international playboy lifestyle to New Zealand so now you have the privilege of his effervescent company.

Vinyl is not quite the icon he believes himself to be (but don’t let him know!), his style and grace need a bit of polishing, but his charm is still top notch.

The Vinyl Burns experience features comedy, improvisation, slapstick stunts and the lovable character 'Vinyl Burns.

The unique RowBox is touring throughout the country in search of the fastest rower in New Zealand.

The RowBox is a twenty foot container that opens up to reveal on one side a multimedia centre where visitors can go online to view the official website of the 2010 World Rowing Championships or view promotional footage of past successes of New Zealand crews at past World Rowing Championships.

The opposite side of the RowBox reveals four rowing machines where participants can compete against one another in a four-person race over a shortened course of 250m. The truly virtual experience comes in the form of the onscreen graphics, four 32inch LED screen positioned in front of each rowing machine provides participants with the experience of racing on the 2010 World Rowing Championships course
at Lake Karapiro.

During the Royal Easter Show the RowBox will provide prizes to competitors as well as scheduled celebrity races between codes of various sports.

All girls crew ORIGIN are one of NZ’s top hip hop teams, finishing in the top 3 at the NZCAF National champs and 2nd in the Australasian champs. ORIGIN is an all girl dance crew who bring to the stage a dynamic and powerful presence. Appealing to all ages they are sure to entertain you. You will recognise the pumping music and love the fast paced choreography.

Kahurangi Ki Kaipara kapahaka consists of representatives from the five Marae in South Kaipara (Ngati Whatua Tribe); Puatahi, Te Aroha Pa, Te Kia Ora, Haranui and Reweti Marae.

They have a reputation for being very competitive, especially against much older and more
established groups.

They have placed several times in the top three regional Kapahaka Competitions in Auckland, and won the ‘Whitianga Challenge Cup’ at the Mana Ariki National Competition, for “The Best All-rounder Team”.
Their audiences have included the powhiri welcome of Prime Minister John Key to the Kaipara, the Global World Peace March last September and the Social Wellbeing Conference for Auckland City Council representatives and Social Development Minister Paula Bennett.

Following the Royal Easter Show they have a challenge of a lifetime, by participating in the International Folklore Festival, to be held in Finland. Kia kaha!

The famous Royal Easter Show Art Awards, which is New Zealand’s largest art show, features hundreds of artworks from all over New Zealand, which are for sale during the show. Another feature of the Art Pavilion are the working artist displays, face painting by award winning Carmel McCormick and hands on art activities for the kids.

The famous Royal Easter A&P Show is now NZ’s only Royal Show. We have a wonderful display of best-of-breed animals and animal competitions to keep animal buffs entertained for hours. These wonderful animals vary daily and include everything from beef cattle to rabbits. This show is a big part of why we exist and run the Royal Easter Show each year, to bring the country to town, so come and enjoy the events and give your support to competitors.

At neighbouring Alexandra Park, the Royal Easter Show equestrian competition runs for four days. This beautiful display has stunning horse breeds ranging from Arabian to Shetland Ponies and Miniature horses, with new sections for standardbreds and show riding horses.
